**Job Description: Construction Site Resident** **Job Title:** Construction Site Resident **Area:** Operations / Projects **Department:** Construction and Engineering **Reports to:** General Site Supervisor or Project Coordinator **Supervises:** Work crews, contractors, and assigned technical personnel **Location:** Assigned construction site(s) **Position Type:** Full-time **Hierarchical Level:** Operational-technical with direct supervisory responsibilities **Position Purpose** Ensure the proper technical, administrative, and safety execution of assigned projects, complying with drawings, specifications, quality standards, industrial safety regulations, and timelines established by the company and client. **Main Functions and Responsibilities** * **Site Supervision and Control:** * Coordinate, control, and verify field construction activities according to drawings, technical specifications, standards, and internal procedures. * Ensure compliance with physical progress targets, schedules, and cost estimates. * **Personnel and Resource Management:** * Assign tasks to on-site personnel and subcontractors, verifying compliance with quality and safety standards. * Supervise the proper use of materials, equipment, and tools, preventing waste. * **Technical and Documentation Management:** * Prepare daily site reports, estimates, logs, and progress tracking records. * Validate drawings and review modifications in coordination with the technical department. * **Site Safety and Hygiene:** * Monitor compliance with industrial safety and environmental regulations (applicable NOM-STPS and company policies). * Report incidents, unsafe conditions, and support preventive measures. * **Communication and Coordination:** * Maintain constant communication with the general supervisor, suppliers, and client. * Participate in progress meetings and propose technical solutions for unforeseen issues. **Job Requirements** * **Education:** Degree or near completion in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field. * **Experience:** Minimum 3 years in construction supervision or site residency (preferably in industrial or infrastructure projects). * **Technical Knowledge:** * Ability to interpret drawings, manage site operations, perform quantity takeoffs, estimates, and reporting. * Knowledge of safety and hygiene regulations (STPS), construction materials, and quality control. * Proficiency in supporting software (AutoCAD, Project, Excel, ERP Alpha, or similar). * **Skills:** Leadership, organization, decision-making, effective communication, ability to work under pressure, and results orientation. * **Physical Requirements:** Ability to perform field duties and tolerate variable environmental conditions (no exclusionary criteria). **Institutional Competencies** * Commitment to safety and quality. * Responsibility and punctuality. * Teamwork and collaboration. * Professional ethics and integrity. * Results-driven and continuous improvement focus. **Working Conditions** * Schedule: As required by project (availability for extended or rotating shifts). * Workplace: Assigned construction site(s) as designated by the company. * Assigned Equipment: Full PPE, radio, logbook, digital tools, and transportation (project-dependent).
