**Position:** Junior Litigation Lawyer **Area:** Legal – Bad Debt Recovery **Location:** Central office – Querétaro **Type of position:** Full-time **Reports to:** Legal Coordinator / Senior Lawyer **General Position Overview:** At MEL, a law firm specialized in the judicial recovery of overdue debt portfolios, we are seeking a Junior Litigation Lawyer with strong attention to detail, excellent legal writing skills, and commitment to results. This role is key within our operational model, focused on drafting lawsuits, procedural follow-up, and strategic management of judicial portfolios, without the need to attend courts or hearings. The lawyer will be trained using our manuals, systems, and proprietary methodology (MEL know-how), which ensure an effective, technical, and systematic approach to reduce recovery times and enhance litigation quality. **Responsibilities:** * Draft complaints, motions, and legal documents according to firm guidelines. * Monitor case files during the litigation phase through our internal systems and in coordination with authorized attorneys. * Manage and administer assigned portfolio with a focus on procedural efficiency and goal achievement. * Identify opportunities for improvement in judicial recovery processes and propose solutions within the legal framework. * Keep internal systems updated with progress, incidents, and procedural statuses. * Collaborate with the legal team to ensure compliance with technical standards and prevent errors affecting litigation outcomes. * Participate in training and continuous improvement initiatives within the firm. **Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree in Law (degree and professional license required). * Minimum of 2 years of experience in civil or commercial litigation, preferably in overdue debt recovery. * Excellent legal writing and spelling skills. * Knowledge of civil and commercial procedures. * Basic proficiency with legal systems or judicial tracking platforms. * Proactive attitude, attention to detail, commitment to quality and results. * Ability to work effectively in a team under technical supervision.
