




Job Summary: The Inventory Control Manager oversees and maintains the accuracy and integrity of inventory operations, leading teams and ensuring policy compliance. Key Highlights: 1. Implement policies and controls to optimize inventory efficiency. ***Job Objective:*** The Inventory Control Manager plays a critical role in overseeing and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of all inventory operations. This position supports the Plant Manager and leads daily functions related to receiving, tracking, storage, merchandise audits, and cycle counting activities. The Inventory Control Manager ensures compliance with company policies, collaborates closely with the Accounting department to maintain financial accuracy, and develops staff to ensure best practices in inventory flow and accountability. ***Job Functions and Responsibilities:*** * Lead and develop a team of Inventory Control Coordinators to manage and maintain an up-to-date inventory database. * Administer the daily cycle counting process through the VAI ERP system, document discrepancies, and execute tasks per established procedures. * Ensure consistent adherence to all inventory-related standards and policies. * Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement in inventory accuracy and strengthen related processes. * Assign and track daily and weekly tasks to meet inventory objectives. * Ensure cycle counting procedures are completed for all items, including counting, reporting, investigating, and correcting discrepancies. * Monitor, report, and perform necessary activities and transactions to maintain inventory integrity and accuracy within VAI. * Problem Resolution: Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies quickly and accurately. * Assess staffing needs and implement strategies supporting accurate and efficient inventory practices. * Conduct and execute root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies, as well as evaluate corrective and preventive actions. * Implement Policies and Controls: Develop and enforce inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and reduce discrepancies. * Inspect storage locations for raw materials, finished goods, packaging, and supplies, ensuring all materials are located in their assigned warehouse locations. * Deliver inventory training and provide inventory-related support to all departments. ***Requirements: Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:*** * Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control or warehouse management. * Experience with inventory management systems (ERP/WMS). * Knowledge of warehouse policies, product coding, and logistics documentation. * Strong analytical, organizational, teamwork, and communication skills. * Ability to solve problems and make operational decisions. * Proven and successful experience in inventory management. * Completed technical degree or bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * Training in inventory control or warehousing. * Courses in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), desirable.
