Develop grocery category strategies Grupo Gran Bodega is seeking a Category Manager Industry: Grocery Retail Location: Puebla Work Mode: On-site **Job Objective** Develop, implement, and optimize grocery category strategies to maximize sales, profitability, and inventory turnover through data analysis, consumer behavior insights, and coordination with key departments including Procurement, Commercial, Operations, and Suppliers. **Main Responsibilities** * Design and execute Category Management strategies for assigned categories. * Analyze key performance indicators: sales, margin, inventory turnover, stock levels, sell-out, and market share. * Define assortment, planograms, pricing, and promotions by category. * Coordinate with Procurement and Suppliers for negotiations, product additions/removals, and new product launches. * Identify growth opportunities by store, region, and season. * Monitor in-store execution and compliance with commercial strategies. * Prepare executive reports and presentations for senior management. * Ensure proper inventory management to prevent stockouts or overstocking. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Marketing, Business, or related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Category Management or similar roles. * Proven experience in grocery retail or retail companies. * Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). * Knowledge of commercial and inventory KPIs. * ERP or commercial systems experience preferred. **Key Competencies** * Numerical analysis and strategic thinking * Data-driven decision making * Supplier negotiation * Effective communication and leadership * Organization and follow-up * Results orientation **We Offer** * Competitive salary commensurate with experience * Statutory benefits * Opportunity for professional growth and development * Job stability within a solid grocery retail company
