Basic microbiology and chemistry in sampling methodology SKILLS Scales, Thermometer, Coolers, Refrigerator, Gel-based refrigerants and air centrifugal sampler equipment, Handling of sterile material, thermometer. Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) TRAINING Good Laboratory Practices, safety and hygiene standards, water, food and surface sampling methods. EXPERIENCE Minimum 6 months in laboratory sample collection, preferably. ATTITUDES AND VALUES Time availability, Responsible, friendly demeanor, Good presentation, Detail-oriented, Compliance with regulations, Verbal fluency, Positive attitude, Cooperation, good writing and spelling, autonomy, Ability to drive (valid license) POSITION OBJECTIVE Attend scheduled sample collection services promptly and effectively, applying applicable management system procedures; in order to submit reliable, high-quality samples and relevant information about them to the laboratory for analysis, as well as deliver results on time and in proper form to meet customer needs. PERSONNEL IN CHARGE Belongs to the operations area, reports to the Operations Coordinator, without personnel under supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide customer service for any questions or required information and develop sampling programs. Fulfill scheduled sample collection and/or sampling tasks, ensuring proper collection and sample integrity from collection through delivery and registration at the laboratory, following all laboratory test material handling guidelines. 2. Carry out the sampling plan and methodology as established by laboratory procedures to support compliance with current NMX-EC-17025-IMNC. 3. Enter orders into the assigned system and ensure correct data entry by verifying the accurate completion of analysis requests. Collect all relevant data and observations on service requests and/or the assigned system, verifying that all required data confirmed by the customer's signature is available for correct registration of all samples delivered to the laboratory. 4. Provide and complete applicable field forms when the customer expresses a need to request information, make modifications or additions to agreed terms, file a complaint or non-conformity, or request sample retention or similar, and deliver them to the appropriate department for timely follow-up. 5. Deliver test reports within the agreed timeframe, ensuring their reliability and confidentiality, as well as deliver invoices and collect cash payments for designated services. 6. Collaborate in generating proposals for sampling routes. 7. Record corresponding data in observations whenever samples do not meet appropriate specifications. Detect non-conforming products, inform the customer, and gather necessary data to communicate to involved laboratory departments for resampling or taking required actions upon signed authorization from the customer. 8. Maintain updated inventory of sampling materials and ensure all necessary supplies are available, including surplus, properly labeled, and in suitable condition for performing sampling methods, as well as carry out and/or verify the process of washing, wrapping, sterilizing, and delivering relevant materials or media. 9. Record data, calculations, and observations in any log or record at the time they are made and identify them with the specific task. It is also mandatory to ensure that modifications to technical records are traceable to previous versions or original observations. 10. Support internal and external audits and implement corrective actions timely as required. Also participate and comply with deadlines for regular or extraordinary document review cycles within the Quality Management System as indicated in the responsibility matrix. 11. Keep the assigned sampling vehicle in good condition.
