Position: Commissioning Technician Location: Guanajuato, Mexico. The Commissioning Technician ensures that the system, equipment, and installation operate correctly, safely, and as designed prior to customer handover or commissioning. They are responsible for testing, adjusting, and validating the proper operation of all components before official commissioning. They commission, test, and validate PLC-controlled automated systems, ensuring correct interaction among hardware, software, and processes according to project engineering specifications. This is the final technical verification before a facility becomes fully operational. The Commissioning Technician’s responsibilities include: Verifying digital and analog I/O (I/O verification). Verifying sensors, actuators, valves, motors, and variable frequency drives. Verifying wiring, signals, grounding connections, and communications. Diagnosing electrical and instrumentation faults. Loading and validating PLC programs; adjusting parameters, timing, and scaling. Testing programs under specific conditions, ensuring full compliance with production requirements. Testing safety logic and interlocks. Forcing signals (where safe) during testing. Collaborating with programmers in error correction. HMI/SCADA: Verifying screens, alarms, and trends; checking local/remote commands; validating fault messages and statuses. What do you need to become a successful Commissioning Technician? Degree in Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronic Engineering. 1 year of experience programming PLC brands. Knowledge of logistics and programming systems and equipment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Ability to work under pressure. Spanish (native) and English (B1 – desirable).
