**What Your Day Will Look Like** This position involves performing winding insulation repair activities, applying brazing welding to rotor and stator windings of electric generators for field projects located at Siemens Energy customer facilities in Mexico and Latin America. It also includes conducting mechanical tensioning tests and using hydraulic torque tools to verify stator core tightening, as well as supporting electrical tests to validate stator and rotor functionality. A 90% travel availability during productive periods is required. Cross-utilization as a mechanic for gas turbine or steam turbine service is possible, depending on business requirements. The position requires frequent on-site reporting to supervisors and Site PMs, as well as reporting to the direct manager. **How You’ll Stand Out** * Winding insulation repair activities and brazing welding application to generator rotor and stator windings. * Mechanical tensioning tests and use of hydraulic torque tools to verify stator core tightening; support for electrical validation tests of stator and rotor functionality, including DC Hi-Pot, Megger, Kelvin Bridge, pole balance, among others. * Potential cross-utilization as a mechanic for gas turbine or steam turbine service. * Solid knowledge of lifting equipment, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, precision tools usage and handling. * Timely travel expense reporting and compliance with travel expense policies. * Responsibility for adhering to and/or enforcing protocols, policies, guidelines, and competencies of the current Integrated Management System (EHS, Quality). **What You Bring** * Experience working as a winder (winding technician) for hydrogen-cooled, air-cooled, and other types of generators. Ideally, at least one prior experience as a winding technician in a generator rewinding project. * Experience in electrical testing of generators (insulation resistance testing at low and high voltage, generator instrumentation testing such as RTD and T/C). * Experience in mechanical testing of generators (wedge tightening inspection, support tightening inspection). * Relevant technical education (mechanical or electrical) aligned with this position, or completion of high school combined with equivalent hands-on experience. * +3 years of experience in maintenance services for generators, gas turbines and/or steam turbines in thermal power plants. * Solid knowledge of lifting equipment, hydraulic equipment, pneumatic equipment, precision tools, and forklift operation. **About the Team** Our Gas Services division delivers low-emission power generation through services and decarbonization.
