Cost optimization and support in economic proposals. **Requirements** At **MDA Mexicana de Arquitectura**, we are seeking a temporary **Cost and Budget Analyst** to support us in preparing, reviewing, and controlling budgets for construction projects and commercial renovations. The ideal candidate is organized, agile, technically sound, and has hands-on field experience—capable of grounding figures in construction logic and realistic timelines. They will work closely with the project team and management to ensure budgets are clear, competitive, and well-structured. **Main Responsibilities** * Preparation of construction budgets (itemized cost catalog and unit price analysis) * Quantification of volumes from drawings and/or renders * Integration of direct and indirect costs * Requesting and comparing quotations from suppliers and subcontractors * Review and optimization of costs in ongoing projects * Support in assembling economic proposals for clients * Updating cost databases and productivity benchmarks * Analysis of variances between budget vs. actual construction (where applicable) **Requirements** * Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field * Minimum **2 to 5 years of experience in cost and budgeting** * Experience in construction projects (commercial, residential, or industrial) * Proficiency in Excel (intermediate-to-advanced level required) * Knowledge of unit price analysis * Ability to read and interpret architectural and MEP drawings * Experience working with suppliers and contractors is desirable * Experience with Opus **Key Skills** * Organization and attention to detail * Logical and numerical thinking * Proactivity * Sense of urgency * Clear communication with technical teams Job Type: Temporary Contract length: 3 months Pay: $15,000.00 \- $17,000.00 per month Work Location: In person
