Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring the best price, quality, and service in the procurement of components and raw materials, managing strategies and suppliers. Key Highlights: 1. Lead strategic supplier management and negotiate key contracts. 2. Serve as the key specialist for commodity purchasing within the Hub. 3. Resolve critical issues and pursue optimal cost negotiation. **Main Tasks** -------------- **Ensure and guarantee the best price, quality, and service in the procurement of new components and commodities.** * Define and execute Material Group (MG) and Supplier strategies. Manage supplier strategy and execution of CM strategies and key strategic initiatives within the Hub. * Coordinate and manage suppliers. * Negotiate framework contracts and manage the supply chain. * First-level decision-maker for major escalation issues related to their material group within the Hub. * Coordinate and develop Planning and Forecasting. * Coordinate and manage the RFQ\- and Sourcing Decision process, including for global projects (via Hubs), aligned with CM and Project Purchasing. * Analyze the supply chain; coordinate supplier selection with commodity buyers and in agreement with CM. * Identify, initiate, and transfer materials within and across Hubs. * Actively analyze the supplier base in the Hub and indicate actions: manage the supplier panel (within the Hub), ratio projects, renegotiation, consolidation, and other change-related activities. * Manage risks and constraints for suppliers under responsibility; actively monitor supply base risk indicators and initiate appropriate actions upon identification of risks. * Achieve SAVINGS for their own Hub. * As such, the lead buyer is the key specialist for commodity purchasing within the Hub and the next level for the Global Material Group Manager (MGM) and a core member of the global CM team. **APQP Follow-up** * + Support PPAP validation and PSW signing + Ensure formal project handover to series production. + Deliver project matrix. + Track procurement activities. + Maintain contact with suppliers. + Pursue optimal negotiation regarding cost increases. + Address, mitigate, or eliminate any critical situations that arise. + Identify new suppliers. + Support problem resolution. **JOB PROFILE:** * Advanced English * Organizational requirements in Quality (IAFTF / ISO/TS 16949\), Environmental (ISO 14000\)/ MMS, and Safety * Blueprint interpretation * Project Management * Knowledge of part costing * Excel. * Negotiation. * Cost modeling. * SAP * APQP knowledge * Development of new suppliers * Quality Management System (MMS) and Environmental Management * Continuous Improvement Guidelines. \#LI\-OnSite
