Job Summary: Occupational Safety and Hygiene Officer responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, managing resources, and coordinating safety and environmental activities at the plant. Key Responsibilities: 1. Manages occupational safety and hygiene resources and coordinates activities at the plant. 2. Ensures compliance with regulations and minimizes occupational risks. 3. Handles environmental and safety procedures and attends audits. FLEXIBLE PACKAGING COMPANY SEEKING OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HYGIENE OFFICER. \* Gender: Unrestricted \* Age: 25 years or older \* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field DESIRED KNOWLEDGE Occupational safety regulations and environmental legislation. * Knowledge of first aid, fire prevention, and evacuation procedures. * Experience handling procedures with Civil Protection, Municipal Authorities, SEMARNAT, and SEDESU. * Good Manufacturing Practices. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Conduct plant inspections to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, identifying and eliminating unsafe acts and conditions. * Supervise contractor work. **Manage assigned occupational safety and hygiene resources.** * Carry out and closely monitor environmental and safety procedures. * Attend internal and external audits regarding occupational safety, hygiene, and the environment. * Participate in assigned activities as a member of the food safety team. * Plan and organize occupational safety and hygiene activities in the workplace. * Monitor implementation of the occupational safety and hygiene program, as well as the legal compliance matrix. * Organize and archive documentation generated by the department. * Supervise cleaning staff activities, verifying that production areas, cafeteria, restrooms, offices, etc., maintain optimal hygiene conditions. * Coordinate and supervise hazardous waste collection. **Coordinate microbiological and water testing.** * Inspect fire extinguishers and first-aid kits, ensuring they remain fully operational and ready for any emergency. * Train personnel, emphasizing safety. * Conduct risk assessments covering all possible scenarios to control and minimize risks to workers. * Any other instructions provided by the immediate supervisor.
