**Job Objective** Lead the applications laboratory by developing formulations, conducting technical tests, and delivering value-added solutions to customers through technical reports, trainings, and demonstrations. This position combines laboratory technical expertise with direct customer interaction, playing a key role in strengthening the business’s technical proposition at our **Querétaro Distribution Center.** **Responsibilities** * Develop and conduct laboratory tests on coatings, paints, and construction applications * Formulate, adjust, and optimize products according to technical and performance requirements * Prepare **Technical Service Reports (TSRs)** as the primary deliverable * Provide technical support to customers (troubleshooting and resolution of product application issues) * Participate in technical trainings, workshops, and **Customer Days** held in the laboratory * Coordinate and ensure laboratory operations: + equipment maintenance and calibration + material organization and control * Ensure compliance with **laboratory safety standards**, especially during testing and customer visits **Required Profile** * Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field * 2 years of experience in **R&D laboratories (not only quality control)** * Experience in **product formulation and development**, preferably in: + paints / coatings (mandatory) + construction or adhesives (desirable) * Knowledge of technical testing and material evaluation * Customer-facing or commercial technical support experience is desirable * Experience preparing structured technical reports **Key Competencies** * Strong **self-management and sense of ownership** (independent laboratory role) * Ability to translate technical knowledge into customer solutions * Communication and presentation skills * Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability * Creativity in developing solutions and technical demonstrations **Success Indicators** * Monthly delivery of Technical Service Reports (TSRs) * Execution of tests and development of technical solutions * Participation in customer visits and trainings * Efficient and safe laboratory operation **What We Offer** * A key role with high technical and business impact * Direct exposure to customers and the commercial team * Autonomy in laboratory management * Involvement in solution development and new application creation Brenntag provides equal employment opportunities to qualified applicants and employees of all backgrounds and identities to create a workplace where difference is valued because it forms a resilient and more innovative organization.
