Job Summary We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented general ledger accountant with strong experience in general ledger accounting. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes. Responsibilities: Manage daily general ledger activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. Responsible for accounting, reporting, data analysis, and other ad hoc information requests under US GAAP Perform general ledger account analysis and balance sheet account reconciliations Prepare SOX controls; create and maintain process documentation Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and explanations. Collaborate with other finance functions to streamline accounting processes Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or 3\-5 years of relevant experience Experience with general ledger activities: º Prepare journal entries, month-end accruals, year-end close º Prepare general ledger reconciliations Knowledge of open-item ERP systems using any of the following tools: º SAP º Oracle º Great Plains º Blackline Analytical and problem-solving skills Preferred: Basic understanding of US GAAP or IFRS related knowledge, SOX controls Flowserve is a leading global manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems.
