Review employee shift logs and daily memo books, documenting relevant information in records. Contact appropriate personnel or departments (e.g., Bell Staff, Housekeeping Department) as needed to resolve guest calls, requests, or issues. Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations in the computer system, verifying guest identity, requesting a payment method, assigning rooms, and delivering and activating room keys. Sell rooms or accommodations to walk-in guests according to availability. Ensure rates comply with market standards and document all exceptions. Ensure charges from various points of sale (e.g., gym, retail shop) are scanned and posted to the guest room account. Assist management with training, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first point of contact for the "Fair Treatment Guarantee" and Open Door Policy process. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management; conduct safety training and obtain safety certifications. Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Greet and acknowledge all guests per company standards; anticipate and fulfill service needs; express sincere appreciation; assist guests with disabilities. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using proper protocol. Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with others. Ensure quality expectations and standards are met. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or throughout the entire work shift.
