Position Summary: Supervise overall store operations, lead the team, and ensure excellent customer service while maintaining operational processes and an optimal work environment. Key Responsibilities: 1. Leadership and supervision of general store operations. 2. Fosters an optimal work environment and customer service. 3. Develops the team by identifying strengths and areas for improvement. Supervise general operations across all store areas, serving as a role model for the team. Provide necessary direction and feedback to direct reports to coordinate proper execution of store operational processes, create an optimal work environment, and deliver excellent service to our customers. * Authorize damaged and non-damaged returns resulting from defective merchandise, incorrect employee recommendations, or catalog errors—always placing the customer first and guaranteeing full satisfaction. * Ensure all parts and products are in their assigned locations within the store and that physical inventory matches system records, executing flawless weekly inventory maintenance tasks. * Supervise store operational activities, serving as a role model, and ensure employees provide customer consultation and utilize all tools—including the electronic catalog and diagnostic/test equipment provided by AutoZone—to deliver reliable advice and genuine solutions to our customers’ needs, while also helping prevent merchandise returns through this practice. * Identify subordinates’ strengths and development opportunities to assign appropriate tasks, recognize strong performance, and provide feedback when improvement or training needs are identified. * Supervise daily compliance by all employees with scheduled working hours and AutoZone’s dress code; ensure respectful, courteous, and professional interactions among team members and with customers, consistently applying AutoZone’s guidelines and values. * Review and analyze the Profit & Loss (P\&L) report periodically to identify cost-control opportunities and contribute to improvements by promoting a culture of savings across all controllable expenses within the team. * Assign and follow up on area responsibilities—including planogram setup, merchandise placement, warehouse cleaning, restrooms, cafeteria, sales floor, parking lot—as well as review daily cash counts for the main register, perform cash sweeps, and conduct register closings for direct reports, following AutoZone-provided procedures. * Supervise and ensure employees use AutoZone-provided safety equipment—including belts, gloves, aprons, and goggles—when handling merchandise, performing vehicle testing, or using in-store test stations, thereby preventing workplace accidents and ensuring a safe environment for our employees. * High school diploma * One to two years of experience as a supervisor in retail, warehouse, or store settings * Flexible availability for scheduling AutoZone Mexico is the leading distributor of automotive parts and accessories in the Americas.
