This includes preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance tasks, as well as troubleshooting and necessary repairs to plant equipment. The aluminum foundry maintenance technician plays a critical role in maintaining continuous and efficient plant operations, ensuring product quality and worker safety. **Key Responsibilities** =========================== * Perform regular inspections, lubrication, adjustments, and replacement of worn parts according to established schedules. * Diagnose and repair faults in equipment such as furnaces, die-casting machines, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and control systems. * Identify and resolve technical issues in foundry equipment and systems using technical knowledge and experience. * Carry out equipment and component repairs using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. * Install and assemble new equipment or components, following drawings and technical specifications. * Maintain records of maintenance activities, including work orders, fault reports, and completed maintenance tasks. * Comply with established safety standards and procedures for foundry work, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE). * Collaborate closely with other technicians, operators, and supervisors to ensure efficient plant operation. * Essential knowledge: LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), hoist operation, fire extinguisher use, pressure vessels * Desirable knowledge: Working at heights, forklift operation, natural gas handling **Critical Competencies for Success** ======================================= * Education: Technical diploma, TSU, or degree in industrial maintenance or related fields. * English: Intermediate (manual reading) * 3\-5 years of relevant experience * Solid knowledge of mechanics, electricity, hydraulics, and pneumatics. * Ability to read and interpret drawings, diagrams, and technical manuals. * Skill in diagnosing and repairing faults in hot-chamber and cold-chamber die-casting machines (preferably with prior experience in aluminum or Zamak die-casting areas). * Experience using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. * Basic to intermediate knowledge of casting processes (preferably with experience working with furnaces or melting towers). * Ability to work independently and collaboratively. * Communication and problem-solving skills. * Technical or professional training in industrial maintenance or related fields. * Prior experience in a foundry environment (preferably aluminum or Zamak). * Availability to work rotating shifts and flexible hours * Problem Solving * Analysis * Results Orientation * Proactivity * Frustration Tolerance * Teamwork **Health and Safety** ===================== The physical demands described in the Key Duties and Responsibilities section of this job description are necessary to perform the essential functions of this role.
