Job Summary The Field Service Technician II is responsible for the **installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of filling, capping, and packaging equipment** at customer facilities throughout Mexico, North America, and South America. This is a **high\-travel, customer\-facing technical role (70–80%\+ travel)** ideal for experienced technicians who thrive in hands\-on environments and enjoy solving complex automation and mechanical challenges onsite. Key Responsibilities ### **Machine Installation \& Commissioning** * Install and start up new and refurbished filling \& capping machinery * Perform system validation, operational testing, and customer acceptance * Support FAT/SAT activities ### **Troubleshooting \& Technical Support** * Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues * Troubleshoot and modify PLC programs (Allen\-Bradley / Siemens preferred) * Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions ### **Preventive Maintenance \& Upgrades** * Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections * Upgrade legacy equipment and implement design improvements * Ensure equipment performance meets OEM standards ### **Customer Support \& Training** * Train operators and maintenance personnel * Provide spare parts recommendations and technical guidance * Maintain professional communication with customers under production pressure ### **Documentation \& Reporting** * Complete service reports, documentation, and expense tracking * Communicate technical feedback to internal engineering teams Required Qualifications * Minimum **5\+ years of hands\-on experience servicing industrial machinery** * Experience with **filling, capping, bottling, or packaging equipment preferred** * Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical \& electrical systems) * Hands\-on PLC experience: + Allen\-Bradley (Studio 5000 / RSLogix) + Siemens (Step 7 / TIA Portal) * Ability to read and interpret electrical and pneumatic schematics * Conversational English (minimum B2 level) * Valid passport and ability to travel internationally ️ Travel Requirement * **70–80%\+ travel required** * Travel throughout Mexico, North \& South America * Must be comfortable working weekends, overtime, and under time\-sensitive production demands Preferred Qualifications * Associate’s Degree or Technical Certification in Mechatronics, Electronics, Automation, or related field * Experience in Food \& Beverage or Liquid Filling industries * Experience supporting high\-speed production lines
