Flexible work environment **Role description** We are seeking a highly skilled **Senior Linux \& Virtualization Engineer (L3\)** with deep expertise in enterprise Linux environments and virtualization platforms. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience administering **Red Hat** and **SUSE Linux**, along with strong capabilities in **VMware environments** and proven experience in **migration projects to KVM, OpenShift, or Nutanix**. This role requires a proactive, solution\-oriented professional capable of leading complex infrastructure initiatives, optimizing performance, and ensuring high availability across mission\-critical systems. **Key Responsibilities** It is required that you have your residence in the city of Queretaro * Administer, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux environments (Red Hat Enterprise Linux and SUSE Linux Enterprise Server) * Manage and support VMware infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) * Plan and execute migrations from VMware to KVM, OpenShift, and/or Nutanix platforms * Design and implement high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery solutions * Troubleshoot complex system, performance, and integration issues across Linux and virtualization layers * Automate system administration tasks using scripting and configuration management tools * Collaborate with cross\-functional teams to support infrastructure and application needs * Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to best practices and security standards **Required Qualifications** * 5\+ years of hands\-on experience with **Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)** and/or **SUSE Linux** * Strong experience administering **VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter)** * Proven experience in **virtualization migrations** (VMware to KVM, OpenShift, Nutanix) * Solid understanding of Linux system internals, networking, and storage * Experience with shell scripting (Bash, Python, or similar) * Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills * Experience with enterprise\-grade environments and production systems **Preferred / Nice\-to\-Have Skills** * Experience with **container platforms** (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker) * Knowledge of **cloud platforms** (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) * Familiarity with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)** tools (Ansible, Terraform) * Knowledge of **storage technologies** (SAN, NAS, Ceph, vSAN) * Experience with **monitoring tools** (Prometheus , Nagios) * Security hardening and compliance (CIS benchmarks, SELinux, auditing) * Experience with **Nutanix AHV** and hybrid cloud environments * Understanding of **network virtualization** and SDN concepts * Certifications such as RHCE, VCP, CKA, or equivalent **Soft Skills** * Strong communication and documentation skills * Ability to lead projects and mentor junior engineers * Problem\-solving mindset with attention to detail * Ability to work independently and in team environments **What We Offer** * Competitive salary and benefits package * Opportunity to work on cutting\-edge technologies and large\-scale infrastructure * Professional growth and certification support * Flexible work environment * benefits as provided by law Sueldo: A partir de $40,000\.00 al mes Beneficios: * Horarios flexibles * Opción a contrato indefinido * Teléfono de la empresa Lugar de trabajo: remoto híbrido en Querétaro, Qro.
