




DESCRIPTION **Job Description: HSE Supervisor** ------------------------------------------ **Location:** Querétaro, Mexico **Area:** Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) **Main Focus:** Supervision of welders in pipeline work on public roads ### **General Description** The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during welding and service line replacement activities in the field. Their primary role is to monitor that welders perform their tasks safely, following established procedures, especially in projects involving gas pipelines. They will be in charge of preventing incidents, ensuring safe working conditions, and promoting a safety culture among operational personnel. ### **Main Responsibilities** * Supervise welders' field activities, ensuring compliance with safety procedures applicable to gas pipeline work. * Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe conditions in the work area. * Conduct daily safety inspections, identify hazards, and coordinate immediate corrective actions. * Ensure proper execution of hot work, public road work, and tool handling. * Implement and reinforce project HSE standards as well as current legal regulations. * Coordinate work permits (PTW), risk assessments (AST/ATS), and pre-execution authorizations. * Train and raise awareness among staff on safety topics related to welding, gas, and field operations. * Document incidents, unsafe acts or deviations, and prepare daily safety reports. * Attend critical operations and verify that necessary safety measures are in place. * Coordinate with construction supervisors, site representatives, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations. ### **Requirements** * Technical or Engineering degree in Safety, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil, or related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial safety, preferably in gas pipeline or street installation projects. * Knowledge of hot work, welding, excavations, and public road work. * Experience managing work permits, AST/ATS, and HSE procedures. * Current certification in H2S, hot work, confined spaces, or applicable regulations (desirable). * Ability to supervise operational staff and manage risk situations. * Availability for field work in Querétaro. ### **Desirable Competencies** * Leadership and firmness in enforcing safety rules. * Clear and assertive communication. * Ability to prevent and manage risks in real time. * Proactivity, responsibility, and attention to detail. * Teamwork and focus on personnel protection.
