DESCRIPTION **Job Description: HSE Supervisor** ------------------------------------------ **Location:** Querétaro, Mexico **Department:** Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) **Primary Focus:** Supervision of welders during pipeline work in public areas ### **General Description** The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards during field welding and service line replacement activities. Their primary function is to oversee welders performing tasks safely and in accordance with established procedures—particularly on gas pipeline projects. They will be accountable for incident prevention, ensuring safe working conditions, and promoting a safety culture among operational personnel. ### **Key Responsibilities** * Supervise welders’ field activities, ensuring compliance with applicable safety procedures for gas pipeline work. * Verify proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe working conditions at the site. * Conduct daily safety inspections, identify hazards, and coordinate immediate corrective actions. * Ensure proper execution of hot work, work in public areas, and tool handling. * Implement and reinforce project-specific HSE standards as well as current legal requirements. * Coordinate work permits (PTW), risk analyses (AST/ATS), and pre-execution authorizations. * Train and raise awareness among personnel on safety topics related to welding, gas, and field operations. * Document incidents, unsafe acts, or deviations, and prepare daily safety reports. * Accompany critical operations and verify that required safety measures are in place. * Coordinate with construction supervisors, site representatives, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations. ### **Requirements** * Technical diploma or degree in Safety, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 3–5 years of industrial safety experience, preferably on gas pipeline or street installation projects. * Knowledge of hot work, welding, excavation, and work in public areas. * Experience in work permit management, AST/ATS, and HSE procedures. * Valid training certificates for H2S, hot work, confined spaces, or applicable regulations (desirable). * Ability to supervise operational staff and manage risk situations. * Availability for field work in Querétaro. ### **Desired Competencies** * Leadership and firmness in enforcing safety standards. * Clear and assertive communication. * Ability to prevent and manage risks in real time. * Proactivity, accountability, and attention to detail. * Teamwork and focus on personnel protection. REQUIREMENTS **Requirements:** * Education in Engineering, Industrial Safety, Environmental Safety, Industrial Engineering, or related field. * 5 to 8 years of experience as an HSE Supervisor in construction projects. * Knowledge of local safety regulations, risk control practices, and HSE management systems. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience preparing HSE reports and documentation. * Ability to demonstrate field leadership, effective communication, and decision-making. **Desirable:** * Experience in Data Center projects, technology industry, or critical infrastructure (strong plus). * HSE certifications (DC\-3, OSHA, ISO 45001, NFPA, etc.). * Familiarity with construction management platforms (ACC, Procore, or similar).
