Leadership or senior-level positions in this job family may: * Handle escalated or more complex issues, * Coordinate team activities or those of agency-contracted personnel, * Support supervisor or manager activities, * Support the design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures" General Job Description: Under general supervision, performs the following activities: * Responsible for movement of packages and documentation within FedEx facilities, customs, and/or carriers. * Maintains well-organized and properly archived customs documentation. * Distributes relevant customs documentation to appropriate FedEx departments, customs appraisers, and freight forwarders as needed. * Receives customs releases and maintains appropriate control per customs regulations; scans all outgoing A.M. release messages, ensuring packages depart correctly and no incorrectly scanned or labeled (i.e., uncleared) packages are shipped; and prepares internal transfers. * Performs sorting, airport and station baggage support, and retrieves air cargo from carriers as required. * Extracts surplus AWB copies to ensure adjustments. * May be required to perform other assigned tasks Minimum Requirements: Minimum Education Level: * Completed high school. * Language: English proficiency preferred. * Valid driver’s license and good driving record. Minimum Experience: * Two verifiable years in warehouse administration and operations areas. * Knowledge of domestic and international logistics operations via airports and preferred customs clearance procedures. * Forklift operation experience preferred. * CRT experience preferred. Minimum Required Skills: * Ability to lift 32 kg and maneuver any package weighing up to 68 kg using appropriate equipment. * Demonstrated ability to enter data into various systems such as Office \- Advanced Excel \- and WMS / JDA / eGLS (25/35 WPM), data entry and/or general office skills. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * General office skills and computer knowledge.
