Position Summary: This Supplier Quality Engineer role ensures suppliers meet automotive quality standards through evaluation, development, and audits, guaranteeing component quality from the source. Key Highlights: 1. Experience in supplier quality within the automotive industry (3–5 years) 2. Proficiency in Core Tools, IATF 16949, and problem-solving 3. Collaboration with internal departments and leadership in supplier visits * **Position:** SQA / Supplier Quality Engineer * **Reports to:** Quality Manager * **Education:** Industrial Engineering or related field. **Position Objective** Ensure suppliers comply with the company’s and automotive industry’s required quality standards through evaluation, development, auditing, and performance monitoring, guaranteeing component quality from the source. **Key Responsibilities** * Evaluate, select, and approve new suppliers. * Conduct process and system audits. * Track quality issues with suppliers (8D). * Validate PPAPs (Production Part Approval Process). * Monitor performance indicators (PPM, OTIF, scrap). * Manage corrective and preventive actions. * Coordinate containment activities for quality issues. * Lead technical visits to suppliers. * Ensure compliance with standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 9001\. * Collaborate with internal departments: production, engineering, procurement, and logistics. **Technical Knowledge** * Core Tools: * APQP * PPAP * FMEA * SPC * MSA * Interpretation of engineering drawings (GD\&T) * Manufacturing processes (machining, injection molding, stamping, or die casting) * Problem-solving methodologies (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why’s) * Automotive standards IATF 16949/VDA 6\.3 **Experience** * 3–5 years in supplier quality within the automotive industry * Direct experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers * Participation in audits and launches of new projects **Key Competencies** * Analytical thinking * Supplier negotiation * Problem solving * Effective communication * Working under pressure * Results orientation **Languages:** * Intermediate–advanced English **Desirable:** * Internal auditor certification * Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Salary: $23,000\.00 \- $25,000\.00 per month Benefits: * Option for permanent employment contract * Major medical expense insurance * Life insurance * Grocery vouchers Work location: On-site employment
