Opportunities for growth and leadership **Technician Apprentice Opportunity Summary:** A technician apprentice will enhance existing mechanical skills while acquiring new ones to competently perform cleaning, maintenance tasks, visual inspections, and disassembly of components and accessories. This position works under the direct supervision of a certified service technician to ensure all scheduled work is performed safely and to customer satisfaction. **Job Responsibilities:** * Perform quality minor repairs and maintenance on diesel engines/heavy-duty trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures. * Assist in accurately completing all required documentation (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emissions inspections) promptly. * Assist in diagnosing vehicle failures through component disassembly, repair, and reassembly. * Commitment to and compliance with all company and industry safety standards. * Inspect protective guards, loose bolts, and safety devices specified on trucks. * Read work orders, observe and listen to vehicles in operation to determine failures and plan work procedures. **Work Experience and Qualifications:** * High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate. * Currently enrolled in a Diesel Technology Program. * Computer and software knowledge, including Microsoft Office Suite. **Employee Benefits and Rewards:** * Holidays recognized under the Federal Labor Law * Life insurance * Company-paid training * Opportunities for growth and leadership **About the Company:** W.W.
