Plans and schedules production activities to meet objectives; supervises and controls processes to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency standards; identifies opportunities for improvement; maintains effective communication with direct reports and supporting departments; and safeguards installed assets within the assigned area. **Responsibilities:** 1\. Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards * Supervise adherence to safety regulations and operational procedures. * Verify that products and processes comply with established quality standards. * Propose improvements to enhance safety, productivity, and quality levels. 2\. Oversee daily operations and goal achievement * Direct and assign tasks to team members. * Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and monitor individual and collective performance. * Ensure achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly results through analysis of operational metrics. 3\. Manage and develop personnel * Lead a team of approximately 26–30 employees. * Train new hires and provide initial mentoring. * Manage work schedules, resolve conflicts, and promote an environment of respect and collaboration. 4\. Manage documentation and operational reporting * Prepare, maintain, and update production reports, process performance reports, incident reports, inventory control and tracking, and production order tracking according to scheduled line-up dates (start and close). * Share key information (data) with management and propose improvement actions. 5\. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and effective communication * Promote effective internal communication across shifts and teams. * Drive continuous improvement in processes and work practices. **Educational Requirements:** * Completed degree in Industrial Engineering or related field. **Required Skills:** **Performance Management:** * Ensures staff are trained on the latest modifications to standardized work. * Conducts safety inspections, identifies opportunities, and implements corrective actions (e.g., Good Safety Practices, Stop to Fix, Safety Walks). * Knows and practices emergency safety procedures and protocols. * Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates rules and regulations. * Evaluates and reports unusual or newly identified safety risks or violations; initiates corrective actions. * Ensures all employees comply with safety policies and regulations. * Uses relevant quality indicators for their unit or function (e.g., FPY, PPMs, Scrap rate, AQE closure – Quality Events). * Intermediate-to-advanced knowledge of BIQ (Built-in-Quality) philosophy. * Basic-to-intermediate knowledge of SPC (Strategic Planning Commitment). **Data Collection and Analysis:** * Identifies safety risks and anomalies during the manufacturing process, immediately reports them to their supervisor, and takes immediate corrective action (e.g., SAP notifications, OPM (Operator Performed Maintenance) control, tracking of monthly maintenance plans). * Knowledge of SFMEA, PFMEA, Standard Work, Control Plan, etc. * Knowledge of Gemba Walk and continuous improvement tools (Lean & Six Sigma – DMAIC). **Effective Communication:** * Delegates tasks, responsibilities, and priorities to team members. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. * Experience in personnel hiring processes (interviewing and selection). * Coordinates staff schedules and workloads, assigns shift loads, and reviews payroll daily. * Converts resistance into support and improves performance of underperforming employees. * Applies standard procedures and policies in talent management. * Ensures all production personnel are fully trained for assigned tasks per work standards, documented via skill matrices. * Keeps personnel motivated throughout development. * Understands machining processes and is capable of operating required production control software. * Schedules and conducts training sessions for production employees. **Analytical Thinking:** * Understands product flow, measures cycle times, and compares against standards to document areas of opportunity or improvement. * Identifies process issues limiting performance (e.g., OEE – Overall Equipment Effectiveness). * Implements methods to improve and establish controls for critical processes. * Knows and applies Pareto, Ishikawa, and 5 Whys concepts for root cause analysis and problem resolution. **Additional Information:** * Location: Cienega de Flores * Fully on-site position, Monday through Saturday (rotating shifts) * Experience supervising CNC machines (preferred). * SAP system knowledge (preferred). * 3+ years of experience in this role. * Basic–Intermediate English * No relocation support offered for foreign candidates. * No relocation assistance provided. * Please remember to attach your updated CV. **Final Details** Frequently check the email associated with your application, including your spam/junk folder, as it is our primary communication method.
