




Position Summary: This role ensures that the construction of retail stores is carried out in accordance with quality standards, safety regulations, technical specifications, environmental requirements, and the established schedule. Our mission is to add value to society by building a better, safer, and more interconnected world. **Job Description** Ensure that the construction of each "Retail" store complies with quality standards, safety regulations, technical specifications, environmental requirements, and the established schedule. Represent SGS as the third-party supervisory entity throughout the project lifecycle. * Participate in testing protocols (electrical/HVAC/plumbing), commissioning, and acceptance criteria up to closure/punchlist within 5 days. * Utilize tools and methods: AutoCAD (review and markup), MS Project/Excel (tracking), digital logbook, and professional photographic reporting. * Validate contractors' schedules and apply them to recovery plans without compromising quality or safety. * Prepare and deliver Change Orders supported by client-required documentation; apply deductions for unexecuted or non-compliant items (traceable evidence). **Requirements** Education: Civil Engineer, Architect, or related degree (certified) Experience: Minimum 3 years in retail, commercial, or light construction supervision Technical Knowledge: Applicable regulations (local codes, NOM-001, NOM-031, etc.) Light construction processes ISO 9001 quality management systems Site safety (NOM-019, NOM-030, NOM-017) Basic on-site environmental management Skills: Documentation organization and discipline Effective communication On-site problem solving Basic MS Office and tracking platform proficiency Desired Certifications: DC-3 site safety certification Technical supervision certification Environmental audit knowledge **Additional Information** * Experience as a Supervisor or collaborating with verification units in civil construction/installation projects, managing findings, non-conformities, and corrective actions; client/authority interaction and compliance report delivery. * Proven track record leading construction fronts for Liverpool-type retail stores and similar (Suburbia, Sears, etc.), including premium finishes and MEP coordination. * Certifications: DC-3, working at heights/first aid; exposure to ISO 9001/45001 is a plus. **Employment Type**: Project-based and fixed-term (4 months per store)
