Experience in construction and maintenance of fiber optic networks. 2. Proficiency in splicing, fusion splicers, and OTDR equipment. 3. Incident response and preventive/corrective maintenance. Job Description We are seeking a **Fiber Optic Splicer Technician** with experience in the construction, deployment, and maintenance of fiber optic networks. The person in this position will be responsible for performing splices, measurements, network maintenance, and incident response, ensuring service continuity and proper operation of telecommunications infrastructure. **Requirements** * Minimum education: **Completed secondary school**. * Minimum **2 years of experience in fiber optic networks**. * Experience in: Telecommunications, Splicing, Fusion Splicers * Fiber optic splicing * Use of **OTDR** * Proficiency with **Corning brand splice closures, model family 2178** * Installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks * Knowledge of **work at heights** and use of **PPE**. * Valid **driver's license**. * Availability **24/7 for emergency response**. **Responsibilities** * Perform **fiber optic splicing** and measurements using equipment such as **OTDR**. * Carry out activities related to **installation, construction, and maintenance of fiber optic networks**. * Respond to **emergent events**, such as fiber optic cable cuts. * Conduct **network inspection tours** to identify risks and implement corrective actions. * Execute **scheduled corrective maintenance** during maintenance windows. * Perform assembly and installation of **new fiber optic lines**. * Integrate **new customers into the network**. * Prepare **daily activity reports and network construction reports**. * Manage **inventory of materials, equipment, and tools**. * Prepare material requisitions required for field activities.
