Animal Breeder (Swine)

**Job opportunity in the United States with TN visa!** The Swine Breeder will be responsible for the following activities: * Perform daily breeding activities based on sound animal husbandry, agricultural, and veterinary practices to ensure high-quality swine production. * Conduct ultrasounds at 28 and 56 days post-breeding, accurately recording and reporting pregnancy status. * Ensure synchronization of young and adult sows to meet weekly breeding targets. * Manage semen quantity and quality. * Collect and maintain accurate breeding records in NEDAP’s Electronic Sow Feeding (ESF) system. * Conduct routine animal observations to identify various estrous cycle stages, including estrus, to facilitate high-quality breeding. * Select appropriate animals and specimens for breeding based on knowledge and experience with animal traits and desired characteristics. * Monitor animal health to promote welfare and enhance reproductive capacity, in accordance with farm and agricultural protocols. * Administer appropriate vaccines, medications, and injections as required by protocol to promote animal welfare and improve breeding outcomes. * Promptly treat sick animals as needed. * Ensure adequate provision of feed, water, ventilation, and bedding for boars across the entire farm. * Conduct routine animal observations to detect any illness or injury requiring treatment. * Maintain a healthy and clean environment for sows under care and ensure sufficient supply of feed and medications. * Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of animal feeding stations (ESF), gates, feeders, and their surrounding areas. * Supervise and manage integration of new animals into dynamic and static pens. * Place all orders (supplies, vaccines, semen, fuel, bedding, etc.). **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree diploma, professional license, and academic transcript in Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Agronomy, or related fields. * Valid passport or readiness to obtain one as soon as possible. * Farm and/or animal care experience is valued but not mandatory. * Must feel comfortable handling large animals (up to 500 kg). * Must be able to tolerate demanding working conditions involving dust, heat, and cold.
