This position is subject to a series of background checks, including criminal record checks and/or disclosures, to ensure program participants are protected. **About the Position** The selected candidate will primarily provide legal guidance on migration regularization processes and procedures in Mexico to individuals in situations of human mobility and priority populations served by the Protected Pathway Program. To achieve this objective, the position will promote cross-cutting and collaborative work with other departments (psychology, medical, educational, and social work) to address protection needs or gender-based violence. Additionally, ensure that individuals requiring specialized services gain access to appropriate referrals. **Required Experience and Education** * University degree and professional license in Law (**Essential requirement**). * Knowledge of national and international legal frameworks on human rights, migration, asylum, and victims' rights. * Experience working with institutions involved in migration regularization processes in Mexico. * Experience working with migrants, refugees, and survivors of violence and gender-based violence. * Knowledge of organizations responsible for providing protection services to persons in mobility contexts and priority populations. * Skill in conducting activities with children, adolescents, and adults. * General knowledge or willingness to learn about migration regularization procedures and processes before the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance, National Institute of Migration, and other protection systems. * Experience in responding to rights violations affecting girls, boys, and adolescents. * Basic understanding of service delivery pathways enabling individuals to access services in Mexico. * Proficiency in computer software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. * English language proficiency or other languages—not mandatory but desirable. * **Applicants must submit an updated resume and recent photograph.** **Main Responsibilities** * Provide legal guidance to cases involving survivors of violence and gender-based violence. * Participate in developing informational materials for awareness talks and/or workshops on prevention and identification of violence. * Conduct informational sessions on topics relevant to mobile populations: access to rights, risks during migration journeys, updates on migration regularization processes in Mexico, reporting mechanisms, and protection options. * Provide advice and legal orientation on migration regularization processes and procedures in Mexico. * Guide individuals throughout their migration regularization processes. * Deliver comprehensive care through constant communication and collaboration with medical, social work, psychological, and other teams. * Provide legal guidance and counseling to support mental health and social work teams in reconstructing short- to medium-term life plans for beneficiaries, particularly girls, adolescents, and women. * General knowledge or interest in learning about migration regularization processes and procedures before the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance, National Institute of Migration, and other protection systems. * Strong communication skills, clarity of ideas, ability to work effectively in emergency contexts and as part of a team. * Self-management capability. * Proficiency in computer software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. * English language proficiency or other languages—not mandatory but desirable. **Required Competencies** * Respect * Confidentiality * Empathy * Ethics * Adaptability * Commitment * Effective communication * Clarity of expression and ideas * Teamwork orientation * Self-management capacity * Decision-making in complex situations **ChildFund Core Competencies** * Being organized, methodical, and orderly * Teamwork: ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others; values and respects individual differences. * Communication: demonstrates empathy and tact when communicating with others. * Results orientation: gets things done; takes proactive steps to achieve organizational goals and quality standards. * Decision-making: uses sound judgment, critical thinking, and non-traditional approaches to assess problems and opportunities; reflects and innovates to improve decisions and outcomes. * Resilience: thrives and grows in changing, demanding, and complex environments. * Digital literacy: adopts and promotes new technologies in relevant contexts, stays informed about technological trends, and embraces technological solutions for business challenges. **Other Required Competencies** * Coordination capacity with other stakeholders. * Survivor-centered approach. * Human rights-based approach. * Psychosocial approach. * Gender-sensitive approach. * Non-revictimization principle. * Accompaniment guided by the principle of do-no-harm. **Safeguarding, PSEA, and Protection of Children and Adolescents Policy** ChildFund is a nonprofit international organization focused on the development of children and adolescents in vulnerable communities, whose work is grounded in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, including their right to be protected from harmful influences, abuse, and exploitation.
