**Your Role** Provide night-shift process technical support for cable manufacturing and new product development (NPD/NPI), ensuring operational stability of production lines and adherence to critical process parameters. This role enables controlled development runs and production ramp-ups, reducing scrap, downtime, and quality risks during early product introduction phases. **Our Team** In Building 4, we manufacture new products for the Twinax area. We work for the design center in Arkansas, developing the cable manufacturing process, producing initial samples, and transitioning from prototype to volume production. **What You’ll Do** * Provide direct technical support on the production floor during the night shift for new product runs, pilot builds, and initial production (NPI), ensuring operational continuity and process stability. * Monitor, adjust, and document critical process parameters (e.g., extrusion, taping, or other related processes), ensuring they remain within engineering-defined windows. * Identify process deviations, abnormal machine conditions, or quality risks, taking immediate containment actions and escalating promptly to engineering or maintenance as required. * Conduct basic process and quality tests on developing products (dimensional, visual, functional), validating against specifications and defined criteria. * Ensure correct execution of engineering-defined operating methods and set-ups, reinforcing operational discipline among night-shift operators. * Provide technical support to operators, resolving process-related questions and reinforcing understanding of the "why" behind critical parameters and controls. * Document relevant shift events (adjustments, failures, deviations, scrap, lessons learned) and generate clear hand-offs to the day shift and engineering team. * Maintain scrap levels within targets defined for new developments, identifying preliminary root causes when deviations occur. * Collaborate with process engineering and NPD teams to identify opportunities to improve process stability, repeatability, and robustness. * Support basic standardization activities (checklists, tracking forms, parameter control) that facilitate knowledge transfer between shifts. **Who You Are (Basic Requirements)** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, or Electronics Engineering. * Prior experience in a manufacturing environment with industrial machinery. * Exposure to production processes where parameter control is critical. * Ability to diagnose process and machine issues in a structured and agile manner. * Basic knowledge of plastic extrusion or continuous manufacturing processes. * High operational discipline and attention to detail. * Sense of urgency and accountability during shifts with limited support. **What Would Give You an Edge** * 1–2 years of experience in extrusion, taping, or cable manufacturing processes. * Experience supporting NPI runs or new developments. * Basic knowledge of Lean tools / continuous improvement methodologies. * Ability to document technical events and communicate findings clearly. * Basic/intermediate technical English. * General knowledge of cable manufacturing processes.
