Apply for our opening as: Health and Safety Inspector **OBJECTIVE:** Supervise contractor activities during the construction of Energy Infrastructure projects. Ensure that works within their discipline are executed in accordance with approved engineering designs, applicable regulations, and company guidelines regarding occupational safety, health, and environmental protection. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** * Implement initiatives/activities required or derived from the Safety, Health, and Environmental Management System (Integrated Management System) * Conduct hazard analyses in processes (e.g., HAZOP) and job safety analyses (e.g., JSA) * Identify and manage changes or modifications impacting Safety, Health, and Environment * Develop emergency response and safety procedures that identify, consider, and control operational and/or project hazards * Ensure preventive and corrective actions, as well as improvement plans, are completed timely and properly * Establish effective tools such as work permits, periodic field inspections, effective audits, and operational discipline, among others * Maintain records of incidents and accidents, and generate proactive and reactive statistics and metrics related to Safety, Health, and Environment * Support certification processes and scheduled internal audits within the organization * Understand project engineering and contractor contractual obligations to enforce compliance at the construction site * Collaborate with the contractor to resolve issues arising during operations * Review construction progress reports submitted by the contractor * Maintain a daily activity log documenting all relevant events, especially phase starts and completions, as well as resource utilization * Submit a daily report to the immediate supervisor * Prepare or assist in preparing reports or information requests required by the immediate supervisor * Know and implement the Integrated Management System in applicable job-related processes * Review construction procedures **REQUIREMENTS:** * Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Occupational Health/Safety/Process Engineering, or related field * Knowledge in implementing Quality, Safety, Health, and/or Environmental Management Systems * Certifications in Safety, Health, and Environment (e.g., CSP, CPP, OSHA30, etc.) (desirable) * Training in industrial safety, quality, environment, and complementary technical courses **Apply now** and become part of the great **Sempra Infrastructure** team!
