Work Mode: On-site, Monday to Friday Position Type 945: Full-time Weekly Hours: 48 Location: Mitikah, CDMX **Advanced conversational English is mandatory (ongoing communication with multicultural teams)** About the Role We are looking for a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (Principal SDET) to lead the design, development, and delivery of automation frameworks for our next-generation platform, including solutions for computer vision, machine learning, sensor fusion, coaching workflows, reporting, alert management, and high-precision vehicle event analytics engines. You will be responsible for technical leadership in automation within the Software QA team, with end-to-end ownership of the quality process. The role requires proven experience testing N\-Tier application services and data platforms in agile environments, as well as deep understanding of databases. Responsibilities * Design, develop, document, and maintain tools, test cases, and automation solutions for current and next-generation platforms. * Collaborate with Product Management, Software Engineering, DevOps, and other technical teams in release planning and coordination. * Interpret functional and design requirements to plan, develop, execute, and automate functional and data validation test plans. * Work with engineering and infrastructure teams on TDD/CI/CD and QA environment strategies and maintenance. * Influence design to build highly testable platforms, applications, and data models. * Integrate quality, performance, and reliability from the earliest stages of development. * Actively participate in Agile Scrum teams, driving effective technical execution and clear communication. * Document and communicate features, interfaces, performance criteria, test cases, and results to diverse audiences. * Estimate effort and plan tasks aligned with project milestones and schedules. * Manage defects: identification, analysis, documentation, and tracking. * Collaborate closely with development teams on unit test reviews, incident diagnosis, and resolution. * Lead or support data analysis to assess data consistency, data health, and root causes. * Define the technical vision for the assigned product. * Train engineers on new tools, methodologies, and technologies. * Mentor engineers and foster their professional growth. * Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to increase efficiency and quality. * Evaluate technical solutions and develop POCs for new tools and applications. Requirements * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or 8\+ years of technical experience as an SDE/T or similar role. * 8\+ years of hands-on professional experience with Selenium, Java or .NET, AI/ML, Mobile, API, and DevOps. * Experience across the full development lifecycle: coding standards, code reviews, version control, build, and testing. * Experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and scaling automation frameworks with emphasis on extensibility, scalability, maintainability, and high performance. * Strong experience developing and implementing End-to-End test strategies. * Prior experience working in Agile environments. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to interact effectively at all levels. * Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
