The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing efficient and safe HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) systems for infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with international standards, applicable regulations, and client requirements—thereby contributing to project quality, sustainability, and functionality. **Key Responsibilities:** **Preparation of Documentation and Reports:** * Installation drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP. * Thermal load calculations (cooling and heating). * Ventilation calculations. * Pressure drop calculations in ducts and piping. * Design bases and short specifications. **HVAC Systems Design:** * Sizing of ductwork and piping for chilled water, condensate water, hot water, and condensate drainage systems. * Design of cooling, heating, humidity control, and stairwell pressurization systems. * Design of ventilation systems for hospital and laboratory applications (desirable). * HVAC systems design following LEED certification requirements (desirable). **Knowledge of American Standards and Codes:** * ASHRAE, SMACNA, AHRI, ICC, etc. **Equipment Selection and Specification:** * Pumps, chilled water generators, boilers, fans, air handling units, terminal units, diffusers, and grilles. **Coordination and Reporting:** * Participation in coordination meetings with teams in Mexico and the United States. * Reporting on progress and development of activities within projects. **Interpretation and Application of English-Language Markups:** * Generation, correction, or enhancement of drawings, single-line diagrams, details, and equipment schedules. **Professional Background:** * Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related fields. * Experience in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. * **Minimum 3 years of experience in an engineering consultancy firm or HVAC-related field.** * Knowledge of HVAC system principles, practices, and processes, as well as design and construction. * Knowledge of infrastructure planning, design, and construction management. * Documentation for LEED certifications (desirable). * Experience with design software (Revit, Revit MEP, AutoCAD). * Proficiency with load calculation software (TRACE, HAP or similar). * **Minimum intermediate-level English (written and conversational).
