Job Summary: Sandvik Mining is seeking a Drilling Tools Technician to advise customers on optimizing steel usage and manage operational activities at the mine. Key Responsibilities: 1. Advise customers on optimizing steel usage in drilling equipment. 2. Record activities and review safety measures at the mine. 3. Conduct performance testing and tool inspections. Key Areas of Responsibility: Provide necessary customer advisory support to optimize steel usage in drilling equipment and generate savings in service contracts. About the Position: Receive the daily work plan from the customer and record follow-up activities in the corresponding logbook upon shift completion, then share it with the next shift. Review and validate all safety measures before descending into the mine and/or performing any task using IPER [Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment]. Complete the vehicle checklist in the designated format. Review drilling parameters and equipment operation execution, documenting findings and/or deviations. Collect damaged steel for evaluation regarding repair or disposal, and generate the AppReport. Sharpen recovered drill bits for reuse and record them in AppReport. Deliver drilling steel to drilling equipment on site. Record and capture vouchers with corresponding information. Your Profile: Technical or professional degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields. Experience in performance testing of drilling tools. Experience in inspection of parts, components, and consumables for equipment. Willingness to travel and flexibility in working hours. Relocation, if applicable.
