Ensure adherence to safety and environmental regulations **Job Description** **Responsibilities:** * Perform technical maintenance jobs as required. * Maintain all machinery and equipment under the direction of the Maintenance Manager and in accordance with applicable federal, state and local safety and environmental regulations. * Ensure all preventive, predictive and other maintenance systems are adhered to and properly performed for all machinery, equipment and buildings. * Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment. * Train and assist Maintenance Technicians and other more junior maintenance staff. **Required Experience:** **Education** * High school diploma or equivalent. **Work Experience** * At least 5 years of experience repairing any (3\) or more of the following heavy machinery: stamping presses, brake presses, laser cutters, robotic welders, overhead cranes, and hi\-los, as well as experience facilitating PM programs, implementing safety initiatives, and educating operators on machine maintenance and safety * Ability to read blueprints and schematics. * Ability to use precision measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers. * Installing and troubleshooting various systems skills. * Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. * Knowledge of all MIOSHA and OSHA standards. ' * Physical activities necessary to perform one or more essential functions of the position. * Ability to bend, twist, reach, push, lift for extended periods daily * Frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs * Must be able to stand for minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week * Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights and/or from a ladder, work from a lying down position, work with your hands above your head. * Willing to operate material handling equipment (i.e. fork truck). \- Write documents and reports using writing instruments and computers * Follow appropriate safety procedures such as Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, etc. and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment, and ensure a safe work environment by eliminating potential equipment safety hazards * Ability to work overtime and must be available for on\-call requests as needed **Preferred Qualifications:** * Associate’s degree in a related technical area.
