The individual may perform additional duties as assigned. * Provide timely and effective legal support and advice that adds value to the business in its relationships with customers, patients, suppliers, communities, government entities, and partners, ensuring accurate, reliable, and ethically sound corporate legal and ethical standards. * Continuously monitor new laws, decrees, regulations, case law, and legal doctrine affecting the business, to provide legal recommendations enabling Baxter to comply with applicable regulations. * Continuously monitor pending legislative proposals to adequately support potential changes they may bring to the company. * Directly or through external consultants, defend Baxter’s interests in all matters before administrative authorities, civil, commercial, administrative litigation, constitutional proceedings, and legal debt collection. * Provide legal support for Baxter’s contractual relationships with third parties. * Support Baxter’s participation in public sector procurement processes—including tenders, contests, invitations to bid, and contract solicitations—from a legal perspective. * Support implementation of corporate legal policies. * Deliver legal training and education to Baxter personnel on handling legal matters. * Monitor compliance by Baxter and its subsidiaries with applicable legal requirements in their operations. * Respond to various requests from regulatory authorities by providing requested responses or explanations, or by substantiating Baxter’s position appropriately in case of disagreement. * Develop deep familiarity with and thorough understanding of the company’s business, people, markets, facilities, customers, and competitors, to identify trends and formulate appropriate structures and strategies. **Qualifications.** To successfully perform this role, the individual must be able to satisfactorily carry out each essential duty. Minimum of 5 years’ experience providing legal advisory services to companies in various sectors, including negotiation and training processes.
