Position: Safety Resident **Location:** Colima, Mexico **Job Description:** A **Safety Resident** with proven experience in infrastructure projects, especially in **aqueducts, pipelines, or similar works**. This role is key to ensuring the safety of our employees, contractors, and the proper implementation of industrial safety standards on the project. **Main Responsibilities:** * Implement, supervise, and monitor the site safety program. * Ensure compliance with current regulations (STPS, applicable NOMs) and internal policies. * Coordinate and lead safety talks, drills, and training sessions. * Identify risks and propose preventive and corrective measures. * Prepare incident reports, audits, and safety statistics. * Continuously supervise critical operations (lifting, crane use, field welding, working at heights, etc.). * Follow up on accident investigations and implement corrective actions. **Essential Requirements:** **Proven experience** in **aqueduct, pipeline, oil pipeline, or similar projects**. **Knowledge and supervision of lifting operations and crane use** (mandatory). Knowledge of **field welding processes** and their safety controls. Bachelor's degree or engineering in Industrial Safety, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Familiarity with applicable safety standards (NOM\-009\-STPS, NOM\-027\-STPS, among others). Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position. Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team. Willingness to reside at the project site. **Desirable:** * Certifications in safe lifting, OSHA, DC\-3 in occupational health and safety. * Proficiency with software for safety reporting and KPI tracking.
