TAX ACCOUNTANT

It is a Mexican company dedicated to the importation, marketing, and distribution of orthopedic equipment and medical supplies. It is currently seeking a **"Tax Accountant"** **Position Objective** Coordinate, execute, and supervise all federal, state, and municipal tax obligations of the company (including specific requirements for Jalisco). Ensure strict compliance with current regulations and optimize the tax burden through strategic tax planning that minimizes risks and strengthens the company's financial stability. **Requirements:** Education: * Bachelor's degree in Public Accounting (degree and license **mandatory**). * Specialization or postgraduate studies in Taxation (**desirable**). Additional training: * Recent courses or seminars in Tax Miscellaneous, Income Tax (ISR), VAT (IVA), Foreign Trade. * Certification from the College of Public Accountants (CCPEJ) (**desirable**). Experience: * 3 to 5 years of verifiable experience in: * Tax accounting * Accounting firms * Tax departments within medium or large companies Soft Skills: * Attention to detail * High accuracy * Analytical ability * Organization and planning * Time management * Leadership * Assertive communication Technical Skills: * In-depth knowledge of Mexican tax laws (federal and state; emphasis on Jalisco). * Advanced Excel proficiency. * Experience with accounting/tax software: Contpaqi, Aspel, SAP, or similar. * Familiarity with SAT, IMSS, and INFONAVIT platforms. * Proficiency with Google Drive. * Knowledge of cost accounting and foreign trade (desirable). Administrative Skills: * Handling audits and follow-up on requirements from SAT and Hacienda Jalisco. * Managing schedules and multiple tax deadlines. * Document control (physical and digital tax records). * Budget management for the department. * Writing executive reports and official responses. Main Responsibilities A. Tax Compliance * Calculation and determination of ISR, IVA, IEPS, withholdings, and payroll taxes. * Monthly, annual, and special filing of tax returns. * Payment and tracking of IMSS, Infonavit, and SAR contributions. * Filing of DIOT, Electronic Accounting, DIM, among others. * Accounting-tax reconciliation. * Validation and assurance of correct use of CFDI 4.0. B. Tax Strategy and Advisory * Propose and implement lawful tax strategies to optimize taxes. * Advise Management and internal departments on tax implications. * Monitor federal and state tax changes. C. Audit and Control * Respond to audits or reviews by SAT/IMSS/Hacienda Jalisco. * Implement controls to reduce tax risks. * Safeguard and prepare documentation for tax credits or refunds. * Authorize capture lines upon prior approval from Management. * Request information from other departments to meet tax obligations.
