




**General Objective:** Manage and verify that all processes of the Hospital Pharmacy Service are carried out, ensure compliance with current applicable regulations, as well as manage all clinical, administrative, and human resource activities of the department through monitoring, tracking, and evaluation of pharmacy checklists, validation of staff training and performance, in order to provide better pharmacy service. Designated Pharmacovigilance activities (COFV). **Job Responsibilities:** The pharmacy manager is responsible for: * Ensuring compliance with current applicable regulations. * Establishing processes to comply with regulations and procurement requirements of Hospitales Mac. * Guaranteeing the correct and timely supply of medications and other healthcare supplies. * Performing healthcare compliance duties, such as maintaining records of controlled substances, prescription downloads on COFEPRIS portal. * Evaluating suppliers and service providers. * Conducting Hospital Pharmacy and Pharmacovigilance Committees. * Implementing and monitoring the proper functioning of hospital pharmaceutical services. ? Regulations o Procure medications from legally established suppliers. o Ensure all medications have valid health registration. o Ensure all pharmacy activities comply with legal requirements, license authorizations, and guidelines established in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). o Update permits and licenses when required; ensure application and compliance with laws, regulations, decrees, etc. o Apply regulations relevant to Hospital Pharmacy. o Design and approve SOPs related to Hospital Pharmacy, ensure their implementation and compliance, and evaluate suppliers and service providers. o Receive and manage inspection visits. o Ensure proper handling of documents according to their classification. o Be responsible for monitoring compliance with current laws and regulations in the region or country. o Ensure an appropriate number of staff with required education, training, and competencies to deliver the offered services. o Ensure a safe working environment in compliance with applicable local regulations. o Identify training needs of supervised personnel, ensure they receive necessary training for proper job performance, and promote continuous updates. o Ensure multidisciplinary participation in designing medication-related processes within the hospital or medical care center. ? Operational o Enforce rules and procedures regarding storage, preservation, distribution, and dispensing of pharmaceutical products, supervising proper handling across all hospital departments. o Attend inspections by health authorities. o Conduct the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. o Develop and maintain the hospital's essential drug list. o Validate the Hospital's Pharmacotherapeutic Guide. o Develop and implement programs enabling coordination in medication policies and coordinate with other involved areas (physicians, nursing, purchasing, warehouse, etc.). o Verify daily medication requirements (including emergent medications) and authorize extraordinary purchases. o Verify and supervise pharmacy support staff in the correct dispensing of medications and supplies. o Control dispensing and stock of controlled substances (narcotics and psychotropics), maintaining required logbooks and storing controlled prescriptions as mandated by regulations. o Assign tasks to supervised personnel. o Establish an indicator system to monitor the performance of the hospital pharmacy service. o Monitor the development of pharmaceutical care activities. o Fulfill assigned roles in committees involving the pharmacy department. o Provide continuous staff training. o Attend training courses determined by the hospital. o Support primarily Quality, Nursing, Medical, and Warehouse departments in interconnected quality processes. o Perform annual verification of suppliers and service providers. o Receive suppliers and service providers for quality assessment of their products and services. o Actively participate in emergency codes, Facility Security System brigades, and scheduled drills. o Participate in Patient Safety training. o Perform all functions inherent to the area of responsibility. ? Clinical Pharmaceutical Transfer o Enforce rules and procedures regarding storage, preservation, distribution, and dispensing of pharmaceutical products, supervising proper handling across all hospital departments. o Attend inspections by health authorities. o Verify and supervise pharmacy support staff in the correct dispensing of medications and supplies. o Report adverse reactions (ADR) to the appropriate authority. o Attend training courses determined by the hospital. o Actively participate in emergency codes, Facility Security System brigades, and scheduled drills. o Perform all functions inherent to the area of responsibility. o Verify medication storage areas in patient units. o Audit external medication sub-stores outside the pharmacy, including CENDIS, Crash Carts, and Fixed Funds. o Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication systems. o Supervise assigned personnel. o Develop and update the Essential Medication List, including maximum, minimum, and reorder levels. o Classify, organize, and maintain up-to-date stock of the essential medication list according to current regulations. o Assist in inventory management of the Pharmacy Department. o Provide education and training to healthcare professionals and patients regarding medication systems. o Resolve relevant and specific medication-related issues. o Suggest alternative treatments based on detected pathologies and stock availability. o Receive and report adverse reactions. o Verify medication storage areas in patient units. o Enter new medications into the hospital system. o Stock medications from emergency purchases. o Assist in validating high-risk medication dispensing. o Confirm reconciliation management. o Generate supplier batch information within the system. **Education:** Bachelor's Degree **Experience:** Minimum 3 years of professional experience Minimum 3 years in leadership positions Minimum 2 years in private hospitals **Work Schedule:** **Travel Required:** **We Offer:** **Hospital:** **MAC La Viga** CONTACT **Email:** guadalupe.ortiz@hospitalesmac.com **Phone:**
