We are seeking a sushiro with technique, precision, and passion for Japanese cuisine. You will be responsible for preparing sushi and related dishes to high-quality standards, paying attention to every detail in flavor, presentation, and freshness. Your work will be essential in delivering an exceptional culinary experience. Responsibilities * Prepare sushi (nigiri, sashimi, rolls, temaki) and Japanese dishes with technical skill and aesthetic appeal * Verify freshness and portioning of fish and key ingredients * Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked sushi bar * Coordinate with the hot kitchen and service team for precise timing * Comply with hygiene and food safety regulations * Propose new rolls or special combinations based on seasonality or demand * Minimize waste without compromising quality Requirements * Technical studies or courses in gastronomy or Japanese cuisine * Minimum 3 years of experience as a sushiro in specialized restaurants * Knowledge of cutting, assembling, and handling raw fish * Ability to work under pressure, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills * Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Success Indicators * Average preparation time per dish * Level of freshness and presentation in each service * Adherence to technical and aesthetic standards * Controlled waste of key ingredients * Consistent cleanliness at the sushi bar What We Offer * Professional and dynamic seaside work environment * Opportunities for growth within the culinary team * Ongoing training and participation in dish development * Competitive salary commensurate with experience, ranging from $4,000 to $5,000 weekly.
