**Job Description:** The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing physical and chemical analyses to monitor and control the quality of water, steam, fuels, and lubricants in the plant. Your work is essential to prevent corrosion, scaling, and ensure the efficiency and longevity of our equipment. **Main Responsibilities:** * Collect representative field samples according to established procedures in the following systems: * Boiler feedwater, steam, and blowdown water. * Cooling water circuits. * Fuels (natural gas). * Lubricating oils (turbines, engines) and dielectric oils. * Perform chemical and physical analyses in the laboratory using standardized instrumentation and techniques (pH, conductivity, turbidity, silica, iron, chlorides, hardness, etc.). * Prepare solutions and reagents required for analyses. * Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments in good condition (spectrophotometers, conductimeters, pH meters, oil analysis equipment). * Accurately record and report analytical results in the designated system. * Immediately alert supervisors or operations personnel of any out-of-specification results or adverse trends. * Maintain an organized and secure inventory of reagents, chemicals, and laboratory supplies. * Ensure strict compliance with laboratory safety and hygiene regulations during sampling and lab operations. * Assist in managing laboratory chemical waste. **Requirements and Experience:** * Technical degree or professional training in Chemistry, Chemical Laboratory, or related field. * **Minimum of 3 years of experience** in a chemical laboratory, preferably in the power generation sector (thermal power plants, combined cycle plants, or similar). * Solid knowledge of chemical analysis techniques for water and oils. * Proficiency in operating and performing basic maintenance on laboratory instruments. * **High sense of responsibility, meticulousness, attention to detail, and strong commitment to quality and safety.** Job type: Full-time Salary: Starting at $20,000.00 per month Benefits: * Free beverages * Company parking * Free uniforms * Additional vacation days or paid leave Workplace: On-site job
