Respond to guest inquiries and concerns regarding the origin, vintage, and style of various wines. Update and maintain the wine list and MICROS system. Recommend wines that best complement the menu. Attend wine tastings and cultivate relationships with suppliers. Order new wines and products. Create and update wine lists. Develop and implement wine promotions and incentive programs. Verify and replenish inventory of the wine cellar, equipment, and glassware. Train and educate servers and bar staff. Conduct vintage and BIN number verification. Conduct staff wine tastings. Secure liquors, beers, wines, refrigerators, cabinets, and storage areas. Comply with all company safety policies and procedures; report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure both uniform and personal appearance are neat and professional. Maintain confidentiality of company-owned information; protect company assets. Support all fellow team members and treat them with dignity and respect. Support the team in achieving common goals. Meet quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than 50 pounds (22.5 kg) or equivalent without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or throughout an entire work shift.
