The candidate will be responsible for supporting daily operational tasks, performing routine monitoring, and assisting senior DBAs in maintaining the integrity, availability, and performance of database systems. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, discipline in following procedures, and a genuine desire to grow within the field of data administration. Essential Technical Requirements (Basic to Intermediate Level) * SQL Language: Proficiency in basic and complex queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE), joins (JOINs), and views. * RDBMS Engines: Practical experience with at least one key relational database system (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server). * Modeling Fundamentals: Understanding of normalization (1NF, 2NF, 3NF) and Entity-Relationship models. * Basic Operations: Familiarity with executing backups and restoring databases in test environments. * Monitoring Tools: Basic experience with tools for observing server status and performance (e.g., pgAdmin, MySQL Workbench, or similar). * Operating Systems: Basic knowledge of Linux/Windows scripting for task automation. Desirable Skills * Exposure to NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) or caching concepts. * Understanding of high-availability concepts (replication, failover). * Knowledge of query execution plans and indexes. * Basic experience in security management (roles, users, permissions). * Ability to write basic stored procedures or functions.
