We are looking for: Sr. Database Engineer Specialist Main responsibilities: * Guide different migration factories on database topics, resolving technical doubts and issues. * Advise on planning and assessment of remediations, improving incident management. * Define and maintain **standards and best practices** for database administration, ensuring compliance. * Establish configuration and application migration guidelines aligned with security, performance, and availability standards. * Act as a **Subject Matter Expert (SME)** for troubleshooting and resolution of critical incidents. * Share knowledge and provide **technical coaching** to the team, from planning through successful migration. * Analyze complex issues and propose proactive and sustainable solutions. Requirements * Mode: Hybrid (2\-3 days in office) * Location: Mexico City * Advanced English — essential for documentation, reading, and technical communication. * Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Progress * NoSQL: MongoDB (cloud PaaS environment experience desirable) * Azure * DBA Tasks: installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, backup/restore. * Performance Tuning: query optimization, indexing, partitioning, execution plans. * High Availability and DR: replication, clustering, SQL AlwaysOn, Oracle Data Guard, log shipping, failover. * Azure: course or certification preferred (Azure Database, DP or equivalent). * Security: integration with LDAP/AD, roles, privileges, hardening. * Vulnerability management: patch management, anomaly monitoring. * Migrations: on\-premise to cloud, cross\-platform, schema/data conversion. * Desirable knowledge in Data Warehousing and ETL processes. * Certifications in Oracle and MongoDB (highly desirable). * Azure: course or certification preferred (Azure Database, DP or equivalent). * Knowledge of AWS RDS or GCP Cloud SQL will be a plus.
