We are looking for an individual to join our Direct Procurement organization as a Procurement Representative. This full\-time position reports to the Direct Procurement Team Manager **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** * Processes and documents all Procure\-to\-Pay transactions in an efficient and accurate manner by working with the Sourcing Managers, Accounts Payable and key stakeholders in the business units * Obtain and analyze pricing bids, spot buys, and quotes to determine proper sourcing of raw materials * Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and exercise basic degree of independent judgment to manage vendor relationships * Identify and implement cost savings and avoidance opportunities without impacting service levels * Work to minimize the total cost of transactions. * Initiate set up process for new vendors. * Resolve blocked invoice issues. * Uphold internal and external policies, regulations and laws * Seek to become the expert and source of advice in area of assignment. **Qualifications** ------------------ **Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in supply chain preferred. * Minimum of 2 years of procurement experience preferred. * Basic knowledge of purchasing and understanding of supply chain management * Expertise in SAP and/or SAP\-Ariba data processing systems preferred **Other skills and abilities:** * Ability to comply with existing/quickly adapt to new processes within the organization; Adaptive to change, uncertain circumstances, embraces challenges * Exceptional attention to detail and problem\-solving skills * Ability to work in team environment and demonstrate leadership * Comfortable with conflict * Strong communication skills (written and verbal) * Strong interpersonal skills; able to forge and collaborate with internal customer/external supplier relationships. **Job Segment:** Procurement, Accounts Payable, Supply Chain Manager, Supply Chain, Chemical Engineer, Operations, Finance, Engineering
