Collaboration and communication for student well-being Position: Security Guard Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor Classification: Operational Position **OBJECTIVE** Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly school environment, ensuring compliance with security policies and responding to emergency situations. **RESPONSIBILITIES** 1\.\-Surveillance: Patrol school facilities to detect suspicious activities or inappropriate behavior and prevent security incidents. 2\.\-Access Control: Monitor school entry, verify visitor identification, and ensure only authorized personnel enter the premises. 3\.\-Student Supervision: Maintain discipline and order among students, ensuring adherence to school rules and policies regarding behavior and safety. 4\.\-Emergency Response: Respond effectively to emergency situations such as fires, evacuations, security threats, or medical incidents, and coordinate with relevant authorities. 5\.\-First Aid Assistance: Provide basic first aid for minor injuries and contact healthcare professionals in more serious cases. 6\.\-Record Keeping: Maintain records of security incidents, visitors, patrols, and other security-related activities. 7\.\-Collaboration: Work closely with school staff, counselors, teachers, and other professionals to address student safety and welfare concerns. 8\.\-Communication: Report security incidents and concerns to school staff and, if necessary, to local authorities. 9\.\-Equipment Oversight: Ensure security equipment—including surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and fire extinguishers—is functioning properly. 10\.\-Safety Promotion: Educate and raise awareness about safety practices among students and school staff. **REQUIREMENTS** Education: High School Diploma Work Experience: 1 year Language: Spanish Schedule: 48 hours per week Monthly Salary: $9,922 10% Attendance Bonus 5% Savings Fund Location: Santa Anita **SKILLS** Surveillance Access Control Effective Communication Conflict Resolution Emergency Management **ATTITUDES** Professionalism Responsibility Calmness Diplomacy Empathy Position Type: Full-time Salary: $9,922.00 \- $9,923.00 per month Benefits: * Free uniforms Workplace: On-site employment
