***Process Engineer \- Plastic Injection*** **Job Objective:** Ensure the optimization and continuous improvement of assembly processes as well as machine operations. Coordinate mold changes, new projects, and ensure the quality of manufactured parts. **Requirements:** * Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position within plastic injection companies, managing at least 40 machines * Supervision of personnel (technicians and mold fitters), 8–10 people * Mandatory training and knowledge of scientific molding * Knowledge of robot programming (STAR Automation preferred) * Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies * Advanced English **Responsibilities:** · Ensure machines meet production cycle times and required customer quality standards. · Coordinate the technical team to execute mold changes on time and correctly. · Daily coordination of mold fitters’ activities (installing molds to start processes, verifying machine operation, proposing improvements, identifying and resolving causes of part defects). · Daily review of mold change status with the Planning Department and scheduling those to be performed in the next shift. · Supervise that mold changes are carried out on time and correctly, per established standards. · Supervise adherence to startup times per standard. · Collaborate with Maintenance, Mold Shop, and Resins departments to promptly resolve production floor issues such as material shortages, machine failures (mechanical, electrical, or electronic), or mold failures. · Promptly address process priorities: startups, delays, mold installations. · Accurately complete required forms: machine startups, process validation, and process certification. · Contribute to maintaining the automotive industry’s IATF certification and ISO 14001 environmental management standard.
