Position Summary: Responsible for maintaining proper injection processes, executing machine startups, and ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities: 1. Maintain and adjust plastic injection processes 2. Perform mold assembly and disassembly 3. Support preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery **JOIN THE BEST HERSHEY'S WORK TEAM** **Objective:** Maintain appropriate injection processes while accounting for variations that may occur during machine operation. Conduct machine startups for format changes, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards. **Experience:** * Knowledge of quality and food safety systems, HACCP, BMPs. * Knowledge of plastic injection machine operation. * Knowledge of plastic injection processes. * Knowledge of mold assembly/disassembly, injection machines, general mechanics. * Knowledge of mold change procedures. * Knowledge of TACA procedures. * Knowledge of safe machinery and equipment operation. * Proven 3–5 years of experience in plastic processing. **Key Activities:** * Responsible for correcting process deviations in plastic parts currently running across all molds (29 lines), per the attribute and defect matrix. * Address quality analyst requests regarding reported deviations in injected plastic parts during the production shift. * Perform mold disassembly and assembly for format changes, execute machine startup, adjust the process until delivering parts free from cosmetic and dimensional deviations, meeting quality requirements. * Support preventive maintenance activities for injection machines according to the established schedule and as delegated by the maintenance supervisor. * Support corrective maintenance of injection machinery for basic failures. * Monitor operation of peripheral equipment (chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, vacuum pumps). * Prepare mold delivery reports to the workshop based on plastic part failures. * Generate maintenance work orders (via email). * Responsible for completing daily process parameter records and updating them with any modifications.
