Job Summary: We are seeking an Android/React Native Developer to guide the transformation of a native Android banking application to a centralized React Native platform. Key Highlights: 1. We are currently looking for talent such as: Android / React Native Developer - Anywhere in Mexico / Hybrid at Softtek Offices Guide the transformation of the bank’s native Android application into a centralized React Native platform, ensuring excellent compatibility with Android device fragmentation, optimal performance, and financial security. Responsibilities: Evaluate the existing Android application architecture (Kotlin/Java) to structure a secure and seamless migration path for end users. Design and build new banking application flows using React Native and TypeScript. Develop native integrations (Bridges) on Android to connect device-specific hardware, biometrics, or third-party APIs. Optimize application performance across multiple Android versions and screen resolutions. Ensure the security of sensitive data and compliance with Google Play Store policies. Mandatory Requirements: More than 5 years of solid experience in native Android development using Kotlin and Java. More than 3 years of proven, hands-on experience with the React Native framework. In-depth understanding of the Android ecosystem, memory management, background processes, and device fragmentation. Demonstrated ability to build Native Modules that efficiently communicate the Java/Kotlin layer with React Native. Experience configuring and managing publishing processes in Google Play Console, as well as continuous integration tools. Attend the office twice per week if located at a Softtek office (CDMX, León, Mérida, Aguascalientes, Monterrey, Ensenada, Culiacán, Querétaro, and Guadalajara); otherwise, the role is fully remote.
