This position is subject to a series of verifications, including a criminal background check and/or disclosure, to ensure program participants are protected. **About the Position** The selected candidate will aim to identify and follow up on priority protection needs of individuals in contexts of human mobility and reception where the Camino Protegido program operates. To achieve this objective, this role will pursue cross-cutting and collaborative work alongside other departments (legal, medical, educational, and psychology) to address protection needs or gender-based violence. Additionally, it will ensure that individuals requiring specialized services gain access to appropriate referrals. **Required Experience and Education** * University degree in Social Work, with professional license (**mandatory—only applicants holding a Social Work degree will be accepted**). * Experience working with migrants, refugees, and survivors of violence—including gender-based violence. * Knowledge of the needs of children, adolescents, and youth in contexts of human mobility. * Basic knowledge of psychological first aid. * Skill in conducting activities with children, adolescents, and adults. * Experience working within child, adolescent, and youth protection service pathways. * Capacity to provide non-stigmatizing care. * Basic practice in linkage and collaboration to access services in Mexico. * Skill in community participation and social fabric reconstruction. * General knowledge of migration regularization processes and procedures before the Mexican Commission for Refugee Assistance (COMAR), the National Institute of Migration (INM), and other protection systems. * Strong verbal expression, clarity of ideas, aptitude for working in emergency contexts and in teams. * Self-management capacity. * Proficiency in computer software: Excel, Word, PowerPoint. * English language proficiency—or other languages—is not mandatory but desirable. * **Attach an updated CV with photograph.** **Key Responsibilities** * Case management for survivors of violence. * Development of informational materials for awareness, prevention, and identification of various forms of violence—including talks and/or workshops. * Facilitation of psychosocial-interdisciplinary workshops and activities. * Facilitation of spaces promoting the construction of support networks. * Conducting intake interviews and identifying priority care needs (medical, psychological, legal orientation, food, and hygiene). * Provision of comprehensive care through communication, ongoing follow-up, and joint work with medical, legal, and psychological departments. * Coordination with key stakeholders to identify and strengthen care protocols. * Joint accompaniment with the psychology team to rebuild short-term life plans for the population in Mexico. * Preparation of reports and analysis of the served population to improve program development and quality. * Contribution to data collection and activities required by the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. **Required Competencies** * Respect * Confidentiality * Empathy * Adaptability * Commitment * Effective communication * Verbal expression, clarity of ideas * Teamwork aptitude * Self-management capacity * Decision-making in complex situations **ChildFund Core Competencies** * Being organized, methodical, and structured * Teamwork: ability to work effectively and collaboratively with others; values and respects individual differences. * Communication: demonstrates empathy and tact when communicating with others and uses storytelling approaches when appropriate. * Results orientation: gets things done; takes proactive steps to meet organizational goals and quality standards. * Decision-making: applies sound judgment, critical thinking, and non-traditional approaches to assess problems and opportunities; reflects and innovates to improve decisions and outcomes. * Resilience: thrives and grows in changing, demanding, and complex environments. * Digital literacy: adopts and promotes new technologies in relevant contexts, stays informed about technology trends, and embraces technological solutions to business challenges. **Other Required Competencies** * Attention to detail * Capacity to coordinate with other stakeholders * Survivor-centered approach * Psychosocial approach * Gender-responsive approach * Stakeholder mapping for service access * Non-revictimization * Accompaniment grounded in the “do no harm” principle **Safeguarding Policy, PSEA, and Protection of Children and Adolescents** ChildFund is a non-profit international organization focused on child and adolescent development in vulnerable communities, grounded in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child—including children’s right to be protected from harmful influences, abuse, and exploitation.
