It is our focus on quality and growth that makes us an employer of choice and helps us maintain our culture of excellence. **Position Overview** The Launch Engineer is responsible to lead the multidisciplinary teams in the plant to ensure the successful and flawless implementation of the process for new launches, and develop for them a standard work that guarantees: a) The safety of our employees, b) The quality of our products, c) The high efficiency of our processes and d) A productive capacity that allows us to complete our deliveries on time. He is also responsible to support the Engineering Site Lead in New Launches (as needed), and guide the Process Engineer Team in the learning of the new processes. **What you'll do** * Develop a timeline for the implementation of the process and key milestones of the project, and ensure compliance on time and within the budget * Responsible for the new process development and efficiency during the Launch and 30 days after the SOP \[Start of Production] \*(first 30 days after SOP is responsible together with the Process Engineer) * Define the Direct Labor "needed to run" for each of the new processes in the plant (together with Engineering Site Lead) * Define the cycle times for each operation of the new processes and maintain them during Launch, and document it for Plant Staff approval prior to SOP (together with Engineering Site Lead) * Develop the Standard Work for the new processes that allow us to achieve our targeted efficiency (including packaging) * Develop and maintain PFMEAs for each of the new processes, and lead the multidisciplinary teams in the reviews of the PFMEAs during Launch in order to prevent cost of poor quality • Lead the PE and multidisciplinary teams in the plant to ensure successful processes in new launches/projects• Guarantee the industrialization of the plant in time to support the Launch * Ensure (together with the Engineering Site Lead) a proper budget for each Launch/Project and utilization (expenses and capex) * Ensure (together with the Engineering Site Lead) the proper staff to support and develop each Launch/Project * Act as a liaison between the plant PE and corporate teams to facilitate interaction during the development of the process during launch/project, including the communication with R\&D/Product on the design phase * Ensure that the PE and Ops team actively participate in the development and validation process during the launch/project. * Guarantee a flawless ramp up of the process for the launch/project together with multifunctional teams to the time is handing over to Operations (LV2\) * Manage and tracks all the Process Engineering open items for launches/projects and keeps communicated to the Engineering Site Lead of any potential risk * Validate and approve packaging design, specifications and appearance for new packaging or new equipment/tooling for packaging for new Launches (together with Packaging CoE) * Lead and perform packaging trials and tests in the plant (together with Packaging CoE) for new Launches * Lead and track the ECN implementation, on time and within the budget for new Launches during Launch * Participate in the definition of the optimal layout for any new equipment, tooling or process including packaging (together with IE CoE), for new Launches * Participate in the definition of the optimal process flow for any new equipment, tooling or process including packaging (together with IE CoE) for new Launches * Ensure Best Practices are considered and implemented (as needed) for new Launches * Support LV2 events for new Launches (as needed) * Remove any roadblocks that can prevent the process for the launch/project to be successful * Lead the perform of the LV1 (together with Engineering Site Lead) and support the proper documentation of the results (headcount, cycle times, rates, efficiencies, scrap %, rework %, etc) * Support the Engineering Site Lead in New Launches (as needed) and provide guidance to the team in New Launches whenever the Engineering Site Lead is not available * Provide guidance and mentoring to the Jr NPI Engineers to succeed in their KPIs * Establish SMART goals, evaluate them and ensure compliance for his/her direct reports * Keeps communicated to the Engineering Site Lead of any potential risk or major issue for new Launches **Who you are** * Engineering degree or equivalent * At least 5 yrs of experience in projects * At least 3 yrs of experience in process or manufacturing areas * At least 3 yrs of experience as a Leader in manufacturing industry * Bilingual in English 90% **What's in it for you** * + Competitive compensation package including annual bonus + Generous benefits package including major medical expenses and life insurance + Vacation days + Vacation premium + Paid time off + Christmas bonus + Food vouchers and cafeteria service + Savings fund + Career developmental opportunities + A company culture that prioritizes internal development *Please note, all offers presented to candidates are carefully crafted to ensure market competitiveness, equity, and reflect the individual candidate's education, experience, skills and potential.* Hunter Douglas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and complies with applicable employment laws.
