DESCRIPTION **Position Profile: High Voltage Substation Specialist** ------------------------------------------------------------------- **Area:** Engineering / Construction **Project Type:** Field Work **Location:** Saltillo ### **Position Objective:** Execute, supervise and ensure the proper installation, testing, commissioning and operation of high-voltage electrical substations (400kV) using GIS technology (Gas Insulated Switchgear \- SF6\), complying with applicable technical, regulatory and safety standards for the project. ### **Main Responsibilities:** * Coordinate and supervise assembly, installation and connection activities of GIS equipment in 400kV substations. * Verify compliance with technical specifications and international standards (IEC, IEEE, etc.). * Conduct inspections, tests and commissioning procedures for GIS equipment. * Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and multidisciplinary teams on site. * Prepare technical reports, logs and quality documentation for the project. * Ensure compliance with industrial safety and environmental guidelines. * Support resolution of technical issues during project execution. * Participate in site meetings, audits and technical reviews. ### **Job Requirements:** #### **Education:** * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering or related field. #### **Experience:** * Minimum of 8 years of specific experience in high-voltage GIS substations (preferably 400kV). * Proven experience in assembly, testing and commissioning of SF6\ GIS equipment. * Experience in field construction projects. #### **Technical Knowledge:** * GIS (SF6\) switchgear equipment, transformers, protection and control systems. * Ability to interpret single-line electrical drawings, control diagrams and connection schematics. * Applicable standards (IEC, IEEE, NOM, etc.). * Technical software: AutoCAD, ETAP (desirable), Microsoft Project, Excel. #### **Skills:** * On-site technical leadership * Problem solving * Working under pressure and in demanding environments * Effective communication with technical and administrative teams #### **Desirable Certifications:** * Certification in electrical work safety (high voltage) * Training in GIS assembly and testing **Work Mode:** On-site.
